OMG!!!!
Guess what? Okay, I won't make you guess. But this was how my morning
went: Phone rings. I ignore because I stayed up WAY too late and I
didn't recognize the name on the Caller ID. No message left. So I start
to go back to sleep.
Phone rings again. Same person. I ignore
again. Finally get up because grr, I'm going to find out who keeps
calling and not leaving messages. Groggily, I stumble to the phone and
computer as my cell phone rings. Same person that called my land line.
Me: (Voice is shot, and I'm not even sure how I answered)
Nice Lady: Um...hello? Is this Larissa?
Me: Uh-huh.
Nice Lady: I'm from the Romance Writers of America.
(She said more than that, but I wasn't awake and don't remember all of it.)
Me: (in a panic) OMG, did I forget a payment or something? Am I in trouble? (Because I'm usually in trouble)
Nice Lady: No, not at all! I'm calling to tell you that Rogue Rider is a finalist in the RITA contest!
Me: (Silence. And then lots of screaming. And babbling.)
Nice Lady: (Said comforting, happy things while probably thinking I'm a lunatic.)
So anyway, Reseph did it!!!! He got me my very first RITA
nomination!!!!! There's going to be no living with that boy now. Poor
Jillian.
